ArcheAge Chronicles Announced

During Sony’s State of Play presentation, XLGAMES and Kakao Games have officially announced MMORPG ArcheAge Chronicles. The game, originally revealed as ArcheAge 2, is a follow-up to ArcheAge, which released for PC in Korea in 2013 and internationally in 2014. ArcheAge Chronicles is planned to launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, but does not currently have a release window.

ArcheAge Chronicles is set during its world’s Age of Pioneers. The discovery of Auroria, a legendary land that was previously forgotten, sees many heading to it for fame and fortune. Players control members of an established trading company and find themselves exploring ancient ruins and investigating a catastrophic airship crash as they get caught up in the intrigue surrounding Auroria.

The game will feature action combat that allows players in engage with close-quarters melee, ranged attacks, and magic. Players will also be able to engage in hunting, gathering, housing, farming, and crafting, as well as banding together to defend trade routes.
