Developer Olipa Games announced the release date for the full version of The Black Grimoire: Cursebreaker. The title, which has been in Early Access since March 2023, is set to launch on October 27, 2024, on PC via Steam. The full release will be accompanied with a major update, which includes new dungeons, new subquests, new items, the increase of skill level cap to 100, improved inventory management, and more. The full details pertaining to these upcoming additions and changes can be found here.
The Black Grimoire: Cursebreaker is set in a medieval fantasy world and follows Rothar Aercrest, the former lord of the remote woodlands of Imberthale, in his quest to break a curse cast upon him by the dark wizard Gabrius. The game is an open-world RPG that features a skill-based progression, where performing certain actions levels up specific skills, which unlock new abilities. For example, chopping trees yields materials and raises the Woodmanship skill, which increased enough allows players to access hidden areas and fight beasts more efficiently. Players can learn spells from spellbooks and craft their own equipment, allowing them to customize their character to suit their playstyle.
