Playism Showcases Upcoming Titles

Publisher Playism held its latest Playism Game Show showcase, where it revealed new titles and announcements. The showcase, viewable in full below with English subtitles, featured three titles of likely interest to RPGamers: Haruka: Beyond the Stars, Metal Bringer, and Outrider Mako.

Haruka: Beyond the Stars is the newest title from Giraffe and Annika developer Atelier Mimina. It is billed as a coming-of-age sci-fi action RPG and follows protagonist Yuuki and a mysterious girl named Miiya, who set out on an intergalactic adventure exploring different planets. After reaching out to the stars, humanity is now stagnating and dependent on Energy Capsules. The two set out in search of Yuuki’s father, who left to investigate the reasons behind humanity’s stagnation. Haruka: Beyond the Stars is planned to release on PC via Steam in 2026.

Metal Bringer is the latest title in Alphawing’s Bringer series. The game is an roguelite action title set in a sci-fi world with androids and giant robots. The game sees players build and control android soldiers and giant mechs against hordes of enemies. Metal Bringer is planned to release for PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch this winter.

Outrider Mako is a 2D top-down action adventure from Asamado Games. It follows a young girl named Mako, who falls into the Mayoi World. She ends up at the Bumon Delivery Center, where she becomes an outrider for the delivery center, for which she can collect seal stamps that might enable her to return to her own world. Outrider Mako is planned to release for PC via Steam in 2025.
