Veritus Releasing Later This Month

Developer and publisher Colorgrave announced the release date for its upcoming action RPG Veritus. The title is set to launch on July 22, 2024, for PC (via Steam), with the game priced at $7 USD. A demo version is currently available on Steam.

Veritus is the sequel to Colorgrave’s 2020 title Prodigal but doesn’t require the player to have played the first game. It is set in a fantasy world where players are tasked with exploring the castle of the god of shadows, Veritus.

The game features 2D graphics and a top-down view reminiscent of the Game Boy Color titles. Players will have to fight the numerous enemies lurking in Veritus’ castle while solving puzzles and overcoming various obstacles thanks to equipment such as pickaxe, lasso, and a magical god-hand. They will be able to befriend allies who will help them in their adventure. Each boss faced has its own themes, unique mechanics, and phases.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
