Sega CD RPG Vay Released on Steam, Mobile
SoMoGa Inc. has re-released Sega CD RPG Vay. The 16-bit RPG, originally developed by Hertz, is available on PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android via Steam, the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, and the Amazon App Store, priced at $5.99 on mobile and $6.99 on Steam.
Vay was originally released in 1993 in Japan for Sega CD, with Working Designs releasing the game in North America in 1994. SoGoMa Inc. had also previously released the game internationally for iOS in 2008, with those who own that version able to upgrade to the new version for free. The new release of the game includes selectable difficulty options, speed up options, an auto-save feature, updated music, Bluetooth controller support, and Steam achievements.
The game is set on the eponymous low-technology planet of Vay, where the prince of a peaceful kingdom is due to be married, but their wedding is attacked by robots and their wife-to-be kidnapped. The prince sets out on a journey to rescue his beloved and stop the machines of war.
