Fairy Tail 2 Launching in Winter 2024

Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust announced their RPG Fairy Tail 2, a direct sequel to 2020 release Fairy Tail. The title is planned to release in winter 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

The storyline of Fairy Tail 2 will be based on the Alvarez Empire arc from the original manga. Players will take control of iconic members of the Fairy Tail guild in their fight against the Emperor Spriggan of Alvarez and his minions. In addition, the game will feature “Character Stories” unveiling new aspects of characters never portrayed in the source material, plus an original story titled “Key to Hidden Secrets” and set after the final battle of the manga. Fairy Tail 2 will feature an action-based battle system, a switch from the turn-based gameplay of the first title.
