Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake Launching in November, I & II to Follow

Square Enix revealed that Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will release on November 14, 2024. The game, which uses the HD-2D graphics style previously used in Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy, will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Physical and digital pre-orders are available now, including a Collector’s Edition that features a set of character and monster acrylic blocks plus other bonus items.

The original Dragon Quest III was released for the Famicom in Japan in 1988, making its western debut in 1992. The game is the third title in the Erdrick saga, but takes place prior to the events of its predecessors. In addition to the release date for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, Square Enix also revealed that Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, similar remakes of the first two games, will be following in 2025.
