All in Abyss: Judge the Fake Announced

During the INDIE Live Expo 2024, developer WSS Playground — known for Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth and NEEDY Streamer Overload — and publisher Alliance Arts announced All in Abyss: Judge the Fake. The title is billed as a poker battle, mystery adventure RPG.

All in Abyss: Judge the Fake follows Asuha, a young woman who excels at gambling games and elects to try her hand at the poker variant Texas hold’em in the hope of finding a greater challenge. During this venture, she suffers her very first defeat in a secret gambling district where witches use their powers to gain the upper hand during matches. Despite this unpleasant experience, Asuha resolves to become the top player of this underground world.

Players engage in one-on-one Texas hold’em matches where they can make use of special skills, abilities, and items to tilt the odds in their favor. Between tournaments, they explore the gambling district, searching for clues to uncover the nature of the tricks used by their opponents and expose their fraud. All in Abyss: Judge the Fake is set to release in 2024 for PC via Steam.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly become obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as more as gameplay. Now, I am, writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
