New Wartales DLC Released

Shiro Games has released new DLC for its tactical RPG Wartales. The new DLC — titled The Tavern Opens! — is available for PC on Steam and GOG.com for $12.99 with a 10% launch discount. It adds the option for players to manage and expand their own tavern, selecting the decor, hiring employees, and crafting a menu. Patrons from up to fifteen different can visit with their preferences in food, drinks, and atmosphere, while players can also send crew members to steal gold and recipes from rivals. In addition, a free update adds a new profession, the Brewer, to the base game, as well as the ability for players to leave companion characters in reserve.

Wartales takes place in the remnants of the Edoran Empire, which still suffer from the effects of a plague one hundred years earlier. Players attempt to survive the cutthroat world by recruiting mercenaries and taking on dangerous missions to pay the bills. The game released for PC in April 2023, before also being released on Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S.
