Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth Trilogy Gets Western Switch Release

Idea Factory International has announced the Nintendo Switch version of the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy will be making its way to the west digitally in 2024. This marks the first time the Re;Birth trilogy will be playable on a handheld since they were originally released for the PlayStation Vita. There is currently no news on a western release for the PlayStation 4 releases that were recently revealed for Japan.

The Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy are remakes of the first thregames in the series and include all DLC from previous releases. The Re;Birth remakes feature new characters, enhanced gameplay, visuals, and audio compared to the original titles. All three games are currently available for PC via Steam.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 is set in the world of Gameindustri and follows the journey of Neptune, a goddess who is banished from the heavens without her memories after being defeated in a battle for dominance with three other goddesses. She is joined by Compa, IF, and Histoire, a sentient book with knowledge of Gameindustri’s history, across four nations to save the world.

In Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation, Gameindustri has fallen into chaos with morality almost non-existent and the authorities turning a blind eye to the threat of a being known as Arfoire. It’s down to Neptune to save the world from ASIC (Arfoire Syndicate of International Crime).

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation Sees Neptune get dragged into an alternate dimension of Gameindustri that’s set in the late 80s. She must defeat the Seven Sages, an alliance hellbent on ridding Gameindustri of all goddesses, and save the alternate dimension so she can return to her own world.

I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2. I do have many other interests outside of gaming as well, such as watching old-school wrestling, Reading books, 80s movies.... or anything 80s related as a matter of fact.
