FuRyu Unveils Reynatis

Japanese publisher and developer FuRyu has announced action RPG Reynatis. The game, being developed with Natsume-Atari, is planned to release in Japan on July 25, 2024, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. A western release has not been announced.

Reynatis is set in a modern Shibuya, Tokyo, and combines reality with magic. The game features two protagonists fighting for competing desires. Marin Kirizumi is a magician who has obtained unconstrained power and yearns for freedom, while Sari Nishijima is an overseer of magicians and desires order. Players can switch between Suppression Mode and Liberation Mode. Suppression Mode allows the character to conceal their identity and explore the city, as forces will rush to the scene if their magician status is revealed. The game’s scenario is written by Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy X, and more) with music composed by Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy XV, and more).
