New Release Round-Up (January 25, 2024)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.


Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night

Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night is set in the kingdom of Lantana, which prospered through alchemy, but its use has died out and been forgotten. It features two main protagonists: Resna, a fledgling alchemist who dreams of reviving it in the world, and Valeria, an experienced fighter suffering from amnesia who seeks information about her past. Atelier Relseriana also features appearances from numerous other characters across the series, including many main heroines.


Baldo: The Guardian Owls

Baldo: The Guardian Owls is an action adventure inspired by The Legend of Zelda and Studio Ghibli films. Players control the eponymous child Baldo as he looks to decipher a cryptic prophecy, venturing through dungeons with various puzzles. Although initially released for previous platforms in 2021, the game’s final chapter was only released as a free update in October 2023.


Heroes of Eternal Quest

Heroes of Eternal Quest is a turn-based strategy title with roguelike and deck-building elements. Taking inspiration from the mechanics of Loop Hero, it sees players controlling a group of heroes attempting to liberate humanity from the Fragmented Tower.


Graven

Graven is a dark fantasy title combining FPS and RPG elements. Players control a priest banished from the corrupted Orthogonal Order. Venturing through open areas, they hunt down heretics plaguing the land with their magic staff, under orders from the Creator. The game had been in Early Access since 2021.


Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth sees Yakuza: Like a Dragon protagonist Ichiban Kasuga traveling to Hawaii in search of his mother, where he is joined by long-time series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, only to uncover something more sinister behind the scenes. The game expands on the turn-based combat system introduced in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Neptunia: Sisters vs. Sisters

Neptunia: Sisters Vs. Sisters is an action RPG spin-off to the main Neptunia series that sees the four younger Goddess Candidates awakening to find that a new smartphone model, the rPhone, has taken over their share of the games market. Nepgear’s older sister Neptune is now missing, while Trendi Outbreaks cause large groups of monsters to appear. An Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S release is also planned for April 16, 2024.


Saga of the Moon Priestess

Saga of the Moon Priestess is a top-down action adventure inspired by classic 8- and 16-bit titles. The game follows young hero Sarissa as she sets out to rescue the prince of Lunaria after he is kidnapped by an unknown assailant.
