New Gameplay Trailer for Bar Stella Abyss Released

Developer Nippon Ichi Software has released an extensive Japanese trailer for Bar Stella Abyss showcasing its gameplay and features. The game is due for release on February 29, 2024, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in Japan, with no details of a western release as of this writing.

Bar Stella Abyss is a roguelike strategy RPG that follows the journey of a faceless wanderer. Upon entering the hidden bar Stella Abyss, they must navigate their way between the bar and the Drunken World to regain their lost face and arm. Patrons of the bar will become allies as players encounter them in the Drunken World. While exploring randomly generated dungeons, there will be facilities such as shops and an observatory scattered throughout to provide aid.

The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2.
