System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition Gameplay Trailer Released

Nightdive Studios has released its first gameplay trailer for System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition. The 100-second video shows some of the narrative and horror elements of the upcoming updated version of the 1999 survival horror RPG System Shock 2. The title follows both the 2015 Enhanced Edition and this year’s full remake of the first game.

System Shock 2 takes place in 2114, 42 years after the events of the first game. The game puts players on the faster-than-light starship, the Von Braun, on its maiden voyage and its accompanying ship, the Rickenbacker. During the voyage, the ships respond to a distress signal from an alien planet, which results in them being taken over by a force dubbed the Many. The Enhanced Edition will include co-op multiplayer and PC mod support, and is planned to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, though a date has not been announced.
