Super Mario RPG Trailer Previews New Content

During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo released a new trailer for the upcoming Super Mario RPG remake. The trailer shows off many of the familiar locales, characters, and music enhanced with modern presentation. It is also reveals that some changes and new content. Successful timed action-commands will now build up a new ultimate gauge which, when full, allows the party to unleash a powerful triple attack. Players looking for an additional challenge can now face the game’s boss characters in post-game rematches, while players looking for a lighter challenge can swap to the new Easy Mode at any time.

Super Mario RPG is a remake of the classic Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The remake arrives exclusively on Nintendo Switch on November 17, 2023.
