Bloomtown: A Different Story Announced

Publisher Twin Sails, along with developers Different Sense Games and Lazy Bear Games, announced Bloomtown: A Different Story. The game is a single-player turn-based RPG with monster taming and social sim elements, set in a world inspired by 1960s Americana.

Bloomtown is a cozy American town, but this is a facade for a demon world that is growing beneath it. Players control Emily and her friends as they investigate when children start disappearing. Players will battle otherwordly creatures that embody Bloomtown’s citizens’ vices and fears in the Underside to help save the town’s souls.

The game’s combat system sees players able to summon their party’s inner demons as well as those captured in battle. The demons can combine with various synergies. Meanwhile, players can spend their time exploring the town and searching for secret areas, improving their strength at the gym, working at the grocery store, gardening, and more. Bloomtown: A Different Story is in development for PC and unspecified consoles and does not yet have a release window.
