Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster Releasing in September

Bandai Namco announced Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster will release internationally for Nintendo Switch on September 14, 2023. The collection features remastered versions of Monolith Soft and tri-Cresendo’s Nintendo GameCube titles Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos Origins.

Both games feature card-based combat systems and mechanics, with players taking n the role of a guardian spirit who guides the protagonists on their journey. Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean follows Kalas who joins Xelha as both seek to defeat the Alfard Empire for their own reasons. Baten Kaitos Origins takes place twenty years prior to Eternal Wings and follows Sagi, a member of an elite unit in the Alfard Empire who seeks to clear his name. The HD Remaster versions of the games will come with Japanese-only voice overs and will feature improved graphics, as well as options to turn encounters off, auto-battle, a cutscene skip option, and auto-save.
