Baldur’s Gate III Release Dates Updated

Larian Studios has announced new release dates for Baldur’s Gate III. The game will now fully release on PC and Mac on August 3, 2023 — four weeks ahead of its previously planned August 31, 2023, date — while the PlayStation 5 version will now release a week later than planned on September 6, 2023.

The developer also posted a new community update that reveals additional information about the game. Baldur’s Gate III will feature a level cap of level 12, while players will have access to eleven races, with thirty-one subraces, including the newly-revealed Dragonborn and Half-Orcs, as well as the Duergar Dwarf sub-race. The game will also include the Monk class for twelve launch classes in total. Larian Studios also revealed a new playable character and potential Origin character, Karlach, a battle-worn Tiefling Barbarian. Another Origin character is planned to be revealed during a new Panel from Hell presentation on July 7, 2023.

Baldur’s Gate III has been in Early Access on PC and Mac since 2020. The game is based on the fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons ruleset. Its story begins with the customisable player character and some others captured and forced to host a Mindflayer tadpole before the airship they are on crashes.
