Greedventory Launching in April

Publisher Nordcurrent and developer Black Tower Basement announced that pixel-art action RPG Greedventory is planned to release on April 20, 2023. The game, which blends Souls-like and loot-’em-up elements, will be available for PC via Steam.

Greedventory sees players venturing out to retrieve magical artifacts from the Igneous Sigil Brotherhood. They are accompanied by an ancient Imp companion who assists with casting spells. The game’s combat sees players using the mouse to attack, defend, and parry, while the keyboard is used for spellcasting. Items have durability that reduces with each use, eventually leading to them either ascending or being lost.

The announcement comes with some new screenshots as well as a release date trailer, viewable below. In addition, Black Tower Basement put out a new developer video highlighting its current challenges as a studio based in Ukraine.

Interesting concept (and great name). But control scheme reminds me too much of The World Ends with You..and that game was just way too hard for me.
