Forspoken Gets New Gameplay Showcase

Square Enix and Luminous Productions followed-up their release of a demo for action RPG Forspoken with a new gameplay showcase video. The eleven-minute video is presented by Ella Balinska, who portrays protagonist Frey Holland, and features a series of gameplay sequences. The first part features details on the story that leads to a battle with Tanta Sila, one of the maddened sorceresses who rule over the world of Athia, while the second shows an encounter with a Breakbeast, an incredibly powerful creature corrupted by the Break. The final part introduces an ominous new character, Tanta Olas.

Forspoken sees New York City resident Frey Holland transported to the world of Athia, where she learns she has mystical abilities. Athia previously flourished under the reign of its matriarchs, called Tantas, before it became afflicted by the Break, which has driven the Tantas to madness. Forspoken is set to release for PC and PlayStation 5 on January 24, 2023.
