CD Projekt Reveals Current Projects

CD Projekt released a new Group Strategy Update presentation, in which it revealed the current ongoing video game projects being developed at its studios and partners. The video covered seven projects across The Witcher, Cyberpunk, and a new IP.

The first title, currently codenamed Sirius, is being developed by Molasses Flood with support from CD Projekt RED. It is a game set in the Witcher universe. It is targetted at a broader audience than other titles, featuring both single-player and multiplayer experiences. The second title, known as Polaris, is the start of a new Witcher saga being developed by CD Projekt RED. It is planned as the first in a trilogy of titles, with the three games planned to be spread across a six-year period starting from the release of Polaris. The final Witcher title is referred to as project Canis Majoris and is planned as another full-fledged title in the series. It is being developed by an unnamed external studio headed by developers who have worked on previous Witcher titles and is planned to use the same toolset created for Polaris.

In addition, CD Projekt RED is developing a full sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, dubbed project Orion. The game is being developed by the new CD Projekt RED North America studio, which is formed from the company’s current Vancouver-based team and a new team being established in Boston. Finally, CD Projekt RED has begun exploring a third IP, dubbed Hadar, in which it is currently its setting but not currently working on an active title.

Neither release windows, platforms, nor other details were provided regarding any of the games. The full presentation video can be viewed below.
