Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Releasing in October

Nintendo and Ubisoft announced that tactical RPG Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will release on October 20, 2022. The follow-up to 2017’s Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle will be available physically and digitally on Nintendo Switch, with pre-orders available now. In addition, Ubisoft held a dedicated showcase for the game, which details many of its gameplay elements and introduces new playable characters, and can be viewed below.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope sees Mario and his friends teaming up with the Rabbids to stop an entity called Cursa, which is consuming energy from the Sparks — fusions of Lumas and Rabbids — and plunging the galaxy into chaos. Players control a team of three members selected from nine playable characters, travelling from planet to planet to free them from Cursa’s influence. As players rescue Sparks, they are able to use their powers in battle, including generating an energy barrier or causing fire to rain down on enemies.
