Touken Ranbu Warriors Launching on PC, Switch Next Week; Demo Available
Koei Tecmo announced that the latest Warriors crossover title, Touken Ranbu Warriors, will release for PC via Steam and for Nintendo Switch on May 24, 2022. The game is currently available to pre-order, with the company also announcing that a demo is available on both platforms. The demo lets players try out the game’s prologue and photo mode — including fifteen playable characters — and transfer their save progress to the full game.
Touken Ranbu Warriors is crossover between Omega Force’s Warriors action gameplay with the characters and setting of the Touken Ranbu online browser game. Touken Ranbu released in Japan in 2015 and internationally in 2021. Touken Ranbu Warriors stars anthropomorphised versions of legendary swords — the Touken Danshi — who fight to protect history from evildoers.
