Rural-Life RPG Spirittea Announced

Publisher No More Robots and developer Cheesemaster Games have announced Spirittea. The game is billed as a rural-life RPG combining life sim and management elements where players fix up a bathhouse and help spirits find peace. It is stated to be inspired by Stardew Valley and a variety of spirit-themed anime and manga series. Spirittea is planned to release on PC and currently unspecified consoles later this year.

The game takes players to rural East Asia, where a cat spirit named Wonyan hands over control of the bathhouse to the player after showing them all the spirits that need saving. In the game’s day-to-day structure, players can find local NPCs and spirits to help while taking part in activities such as bug-hunting and karaoke. Spirits helped will turn up at the player’s bathhouse, which they can upgrade with new furniture, rooms, and baths to eventually attract the great Lord Spirits.
