Forspoken Pushed to October

Square Enix and Luminous Productions announced a delay for action RPG Forspoken. The game, previously set to launch in May 2022, will now release for PC and PlayStation 5 on October 11, 2022. The companies provided the following message announcing the delay —

We have made the decision to move the release date of Forspoken to October 11, 2022. Our vision for this exciting new IP is to deliver a game world and hero that gamers across the globe will want to experience for years to come, so getting it right is extremely important to us. To that end, during the next few months we will focus all of our efforts on polishing the game and can’t wait for you to experience Frey’s journey this fall.

Forspoken is an action RPG following New York City resident Frey Holland, who is transported to the world of Athia, where she learns she has mystical abilities. Athia previously flourished under the reign of its matriarchs, called Tantas, before it became afflicted by a corrupting blight, which has driven the Tantas to madness.
