Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl’s Ramanas Park Detailed

The Pokémon Company provided some new details for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl ahead of the games’ release next week. The update introduces the new Ramanas Park, where players can encounter Legendary Pokémon.

Ramanas Park is a facility that players can visit once they have entered the Hall of Fame. The park has rooms with empty pedestals and by inserting a special slate into the relevant pedestal, players will cause a Legendary Pokémon to appear. No details were provided on how players can obtain the slates, other than that players will need to explore across the Sinnoh region. The Legendary Pokémon that can be obtained vary between games. For example, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond will let players encounter Raikou, Entei, Suicune, and Ho-Oh, while Pokémon Shining Pearl will let them encounter Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Lugia.

In addition, The Pokémon Company announced that a pre-launch version 1.1.0 patch will be available from November 11, 2021. The update will add online communication features, including the Grand Underground and Super Contest Shows, Mystery Gift, Ramanas Park, and Union Room. Plus, if players have play data from previous titles on their Nintendo Switch system when starting Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, they will receive a Mythical Pokémon. Those with Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield data can speak to a man in the flower field located on the southwest end of Floaroma Town to obtain Jirachi, while those with Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! data can speak to a woman in the same field to obtain Mew.

The company also announced in-game bonuses for players of previous Pokémon titles in the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Those with Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield play data will be able to obtain Shaymin (Land Forme) after the game’s credits as well as obtain a Shaymin Kimono outfit set. Those with Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! play data will be able to gain a Pikachu and an Eevee mask.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will release for Nintendo Switch on November 19, 2021. The games are remakes of the fourth-generation titles Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, which were released for Nintendo DS in Japan in 2006 and in the west in 2007.
