Nintendo Switch OLED Model Announced

Nintendo has announced a new OLED version of the Nintendo Switch hybrid console. The OLED model will launch on October 8, 2021, with a suggested retail price of $349.99. It will be available in two colour options: a white set with white Joy-Con controllers, a black main unit, and a white dock; and a neon red/neon blue set with neon red and neon blue Joy-Con controllers, a black main unit, and a black dock.

The Nintendo Switch OLED model has almost identical dimensions and the same CPU and RAM as the original Nintendo Switch model, but features a larger 7-inch OLED screen as opposed to the current 6.2-inch LCD screen. It also includes a larger and adjustable stand for playing in tabletop mode, plus upgraded internal speakers. The new dock features a new wired LAN port.
