Bravely Default II to Launch in February

Nintendo posted a new Nintendo Direct Mini presentation today, during which it announced that Bravely Default II will launch worldwide for Nintendo Switch on February 26, 2021. The presentation offered some new details on the game, which is set in a new world with new characters and a new story. Revo, who composed the soundtrack to Bravely Default, returns for the soundtrack to Bravely Default II.

The game’s four heroes are Seth, Elvis, Adelle, and Gloria, who join forces on the continent of Excillant. Four Asterisk holders and the jobs unlocked when they are defeated were also revealed. Dag holds the Vanguard Asterisk, Orpheus holds the Bard Asterisk, Anihal holds the Beastmaster Asterisk, and Shirley holds the Gambler Asterisk.

The presentation also revealed that changes have been made to the game’s difficulty and controls in response to feedback from the demo earlier this year. Developer Square Enix released a six-minute English-subtitled video, viewable below, detailing the feedback and changes, which include three difficulty levels that players can freely switch between.

  1. I’m so excited for this game! I’m also pleasantly surprised that this game’s February release date is worldwide.

Good to see that the Asterisk holders still have punny or references for names. 😀
