Baroque Getting Japanese Switch Release

Developer Sting has announced that it will be releasing a Nintendo Switch version of Baroque in Japan later this year. The release is titled Baroque: Original Version and is a direct port of the original Sega Saturn version released in Japan in 1998.

Baroque sees players guiding a nameless amnesiac character down the Neuro Tower, which shifts layout every time it is entered, attempting to reach the bottom floor. The original version of Baroque, which was ported to PlayStation in 1999, features a first-person perspective, but a remake for PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii switched the game to a third-person view. The original game was only released in Japan, though the remake was released in 2008 in North America by Atlus and in Europe by Rising Star Games.
