Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Game Announced

Square Enix has announced a game based on Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, a spin-off manga series that ran in Japan between 1989 and 1996. The game will be joined by an animated series being produced by Toei Animation, which is set to launch in fall 2020 with a teaser trailer viewable below. No details about the game have been revealed, and its platforms are currently unknown.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai follows a young boy named Dai, who is the only human on an island populated by monsters and lives with his adoptive grandfather Brass and friend Gome. Events see him being instructed in becoming a hero after he saves a princess, before he forced to fight against the return of the Demon King Hadlar, who was thought defeated ten years before.
