Black Desert PS4 Beta Coming Soon

Pearl Abyss has announced that it will be holding an open beta for the upcoming PlayStation 4 version of open-world action MMORPG Black Desert. The beta will run from 12am PDT on August 9, 2019, to 2am PDT on August 13, 2019, with those interested in participating able to sign up now. The beta will not require a PlayStation Plus subscription, and those who participate will receive an exclusive Sky Hawk pet at launch of the full game. Character progress in the beta will not carry over to the full game.

Black Desert will be released for PlayStation 4 on August 22, 2019, with three versions containing different amounts of in-game bonuses available to purchase: the $29.99 Standard Edition, the $49.99 Deluxe Edition, and the $99.99 Ultimate Edition. The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions will also grant 48-hour early access. Black Desert was originally released for PC in Korea in 2015, before coming to North America and Europe in March 2016. An Xbox One version was released in March 2019. The game is free-to-play in Korea, Japan, and Russia, while in other regions, the game is buy-to-play.
