Doraemon: Nobita no Bokujō Monogatari Coming to Japan in June

Bandai Namco has announced that Doraemon: Nobita no Bokujō Monogatari, a crossover between the Doraemon and Bokujō Monogatari (aka Story of Seasons) franchises, will be released in Japan on June 13, 2019. The game will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch, with the release date announcement coming with the first official trailer for the game plus some new screenshots and details.

The game’s story begins with Doraemon and Nobita finding a mysterious seed. As they plant the seed, a large tree immediately grows and a storm also forms that whisks away Nobito and his friends. When they come to, they find themselves at the foot of a giant tree but in a different town and without any of their trademark gadgets. The group decides to stay in the town at the suggestion of a local boy, helping out around town while they try to find a way back to their world.

The gameplay follows the traditional Bokujō Monogatari formula, as Nobito decides to help out at the town’s ranch. Players prepare the soil and tend crops before harvesting them so they can be shipped off by Doraemon. Different crops are suited for different seasons, and players can also do various other activities such as fishing. Eventually, players will find some of Doraemon’s secret gadgets, which will provide help such as quick travel or fast-growing crops.
