Digital Store Weekly Round-Up (December 6, 2018)

Welcome to RPGamer’s weekly digital store round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with updates on recent releases and sales for RPGs across the digital marketplace.

The start of December marks a busy week for new releases. Persona 3 and Persona 5‘s rhythm spin-off release along with the post-apocalyptic Mutant Year Zero and Aeon of Sands. Meanwhile, open-world title Kenshi finally achieves a full release, with Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales arriving on console and The Last Remnant returning on PlayStation 4. Finally, the Atelier Arland trilogymakes it way to new platforms ahead of a fourth game next year, and Yo-kai Watch 3 comes to Europe ahead of its North American release in February.

 

Sales and Discounts

The North American PlayStation Store has a Deep Silver publisher sale including Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Risen 3, and Sacred 3. There is also a dedicated Elder Scrolls Online sale, while The Council is on sale on the regular weekly deals.

Meanwhile, the European store has a big new set of Games Under €10/£9 including Arc the Lad, Bastion, Child of Light, Dark Chronicle, Dark Cloud, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Lords of the Fallen, Mount & Blade: Warband, Necropolis, Pyre, Rogue Galaxy, Shiness, Transistor, and Ys Origin. There are also plenty of exclusive PS Plus member discounts on titles including Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, ClaDun Returns, Demon Gaze II, ELEX, God Wars, Grand Kingdom, Mordheim, Natural Doctrine, Nioh, Skyrim + Fallout 4 bundle, The Council, The Elder Scrolls Online, The Witch and the Hundred Knight, and The Witcher 3.

The Xbox Store regular weekly sales are light on RPGs with Numantia the only one of note.

The American Nintendo eShop deals include Bonds of the Skies, Brave Dungeon, Journey to Kreisia, and Moonfall Ultimate. Europe has some Switch sales on Diablo III, Dragon Sinker, and Moonfall Ultimate, with any 3DS sales TBC.

The current Steam sales include The Council, Tom Clancy’s The Division, The Elder Scrolls Online, Expeditions: Viking, Crypt of the NecroDancer, Darksiders, Blackguards, The Long Journey Home, Mary Skelter, and Vigilantes. The only notable RPG on sale on GOG.com is Grim Dawn. Finally, The Humble Store has deals on Dark Rose Valkyrie, Tales of Zestiria, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Berseria, .hack//G.U., NeuroVoider, and Megadimension Neptunia VIIR.
