Pokémon: Let’s Go’s Master Trainers Detailed

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have revealed a new feature in the upcoming Nintendo Switch titles Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!: Master Trainers. Throughout the game, players will come across special trainers who are dedicated to specific species of Pokémon. Each species of Pokémon in the region has its own Master Trainer, and players can challenge them to one-on-one, no-item battles with their corresponding Pokémon. If players emerge victorious, they will be able to use that Master Trainer’s title and display it in online Link Battles.

Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! are due to launch worldwide for Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018. The games blend a remake of Pokémon Yellow with elements from smartphone title Pokémon Go, with wild Pokémon now visible on screen before being encountered and these taking the form of Pokémon Go’s capture encounters rather than standard Pokémon battles.
