Atelier Series Returns to Arland with Atelier Lulua
Gust has announced the newest title in the Atelier series, Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland. As the subtitle suggests, the game sees the series return to the setting of Arland and comes shortly after recent re-releases of the preceding trilogy of games, which are set to be released in North America and Europe in December.
Atelier Lulua‘s main character is Elmerulia Fryxell, the daughter of Rorona. She is studying to be an alchemist like her mother and wears clothes very similar to those her mother wore. The other character revealed is Eva, Lulua’s childhood friend who uses either a bazooka or gatling gun in battle. The synthesis, exploration, and battle elements are based on those used in the Arland trilogy, though some of the newer systems from the recent Mysterious sub-series will also appear.
Atelier Lulua is being developed for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Koei Tecmo has revealed that the game will be released in North America and Europe in spring 2019.
Again, no dub, no buy.
Has there been some info on the state of dub/no-dub that I missed, or are you whinging for the sake of whinging?
I’m cautiously hopeful that this new development spells a new start for the franchise after the hit-or-mostly-miss nature of the Mysterious series. Also, it would be awesome if Gust finally did a fourth Dusk game to wind up the various threads still unresolved. Atelier Nio – Alchemist of the Dusk Flames, anyone?
I would be so down for another Dusk game (assuming they have some good ideas for attempting to answer some of the questions behind that world). It felt like they were leading up to saying something with Ayesha and Keithgriff off exploring but that thread never went anywhere.
again, nearly one thousand dollars per minute of recorded material.
