The Last Remnant to Be Removed from Sale on Steam

Square Enix has revealed that the PC version of The Last Remnant will be made unavailable to purchase from September 4, 2018. Though users will no longer be able to purchase the game, those who already own it will still be able to play the game as usual.

The Last Remnant was originally released worldwide for Xbox 360 in 2008, with the PC version releasing in 2009 and including improvements such as enhanced graphics, a “Turbo Mode” for combat, and a New Game Plus option. The game is set in a fantasy world made up of various city-states that are home to multiple humanoid races, and features turn-based strategic combat where participants are grouped into squads of up to five units.

  1. I’m really hoping it’s being removed in preparation for a Remaster that will add even more functions and changes. A pipe dream, but I can hope.

Noone will miss it sadly. It has a good premise for a combat system but JRPGs live and die by their world and characters, and its just boring.
