Atlus Announces Etrian Odyssey X

Atlus has announced its latest title in the Etrian Odyssey dungeon crawling series. The new game, Etrian Odyssey X (pronounced “Cross”), is the sixth mainline game and will be the final title in the series for Nintendo 3DS. Etrian Odyssey X will be released in Japan on August 2, 2018, with no news regarding a localisation at this stage.

Etrian Odyssey X sees adventurers gathering in the flying city of Maginia, which serves as a base for journeys to the remote island of Lemuria. The island features many labyrinths where wealth, honour, and danger await. Etrian Odyssey X will feature nineteen classes, including all eighteen classes that previously appeared in the series plus the new Hero class. The game will also have refined versions of the gameplay systems of the series, including its turn-based combat and map-drawing feature.
