Pokémon Bank Ending Service in February

The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon Bank, its Pokémon transfer application for Nintendo 3DS will end service at 7pm PST on February 27, 2026. Following the end of service, players will no longer be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to the Pokémon Home service, currently available on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.

To go with the announcement, The Pokémon Company announced that the Nintendo Switch versions of Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen will be able to link with Pokémon HOME from October 2026. Due to compatibility between games, Pokémon that are brought to another game in the Pokémon series from Pokémon FireRed or Pokémon LeafGreen will be unable to return to those versions. Pokémon from other games in the Pokémon series are also unable to visit Pokémon FireRed or Pokémon LeafGreen.
