The Hearth and Harbour Releasing Later This Year
Publisher Fellow Traveler and developer Saltstone Studios announced that story-focused restaurant management RPG The Hearth and Harbour will release late this year. The game will be available for PC via Steam and GOG.com, with the announcement coming alongside a development update trailer that gives an introduction to the game.
The Hearth and Harbour is set in the same world as the developer’s previous survival title, The Pale Beyond, which is inspired by turn of the 20th-century Europe. It sees players leaving their life behind to avoid an impending war, ending up in the harbour city of Lewthport as the owner of a run-down restaurant called The Silver Spoon.
Players will be able to choose the layout, decor, and types of clientele they wish to appeal to. During service, players act as the maître d’ in turn-based tactical gameplay, seating customers and ensuring meals are served promptly. Outside of serving time, players can explore Lewthport and interact with the locals, ensuring that they are stocked on ingredients and building up relationships. Choices players make throughout the game will impact their reputation and what happens to the community.
