Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World Releasing in December
Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World will release on December 3, 2026. The latest title in the Dragon Quest Monsters spin-off series, the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The Dragon Quest Monsters series features various monsters from the mainline Dragon Quest series. Rather than directly fighting in combat, the player characters relies on allied monsters that they have captured, bred, and raised to battle. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World will star Bianca and Nera from Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, who embark on a journey to bring the world of Witherwood back to life. Debora, from the Nintendo DS version of Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, will also appear in the game. The game is said to include more than 500 different monsters.
