Zero Parades: For Dead Spies Trailer Shows Gameplay Mechanics

Developer ZA/UM released a new trailer for narrative espionage RPG Zero Parades: For Dead Spies ahead of its launch later this month. The two-minute video gives a quick look at the use of skills, conditioning, and encounters in the game. Players can make use of fifteen skills across three faculties, as well as shape protagonist Hershel’s inner beliefs. They will need to balance Hershel’s mental state across three pressures — Fatigue, Anxiety, and Delirium — potentially deliberately raising them to increase their chances on certain skill checks.

Zero Parades: For Dead Spies follows operant Hershel Wilk, aka CASCADE, in the city of Portofiro. She is still haunted by a failed mission that took place five years ago, she is suddenly recalled to undertake a mysterious mission and prove herself once again. Player choices can impact other characters’ loyalty, available paths, and the state of Hershel’s mind. The story is stated to be built to encourage players to continue even if they fail at their current task. The game will release for PC on May 21, 2026, through Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store, priced at $39.99. A PlayStation 5 release is planned to follow later in the year.
