VIractal: World of Viractalia Released on Steam Early Access

Japanese developer Sting has released its board game-style RPG VIractal: World of Viractalia on Steam Early Access. The Early Access version is available for $14.99, with the game expected to fully release in around six months. The initial Early Access version includes the game’s first stage, the “Dragon’s Garden”, which takes place on a vast mountain range where a dragon slumbers. It includes a Game Room where players can collect figures and unlock new pieces or cards using rewards obtained during gameplay. It also features online play.

Sting also announced its planned roadmap for the game. The “Skyharmonia” update will release in October, which adds the game’s second stage, featuring a clouds and ice theme, as well as feature updates, a new character, new memos, new cards, and new events. It will be followed in November by the “Demon Lord’s Castle” update, which adds a third stage themed around volcanoes and a castle, plus a new character, the introduction of alchemy cards, new strategic objects, UI/UX improvements, new memos, new events, and new items. A third, currently untitled, update will release in December, adding an additional stage, a guest character, another new character, new achievements, new memos, and new events. Further updates in 2026 will add another guest character and more new characters.

VIractal sees players controlling heroes journeying through the miniature world of Viractalia. Players build up their own deck of cards to use in the game’s turn-based combat. Players roll dice to determine their movement, with unneeded movement points able to be saved up for future use in events and combat. During events, players can make decisions that may lead to gaining powerful abilities or changing the course of the adventure.
