C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield Physical Release Announced

Aksys Games announced it will be releasing a physical edition of Acquire’s C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield. The physical release will be available for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch this fall.

C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield released digitally worldwide for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in May 2024. The game is set on the continent of Mistaria, where its three great powers and ten smaller nations were caught up in the Hundred Years’ War. During one of the battles, a jet-black dragon is said to have descended and annihilated everything. Subsequently, the great power Fahftania, said to have created a “chimera”, and its Hellmuth Brigade have exerted overwhelming power.

The game follows Captain Vel Dina, the head of the Republic’s Clausewitz Battalion, after she learns Fahftania is creating a new chimera through dark acts and sets out to reveal the truth behind their creation. It sees players building their own deck from over 50 types of cards to take on enemies in turn-based strategic combat. The game features a map shrouded in mist, which players must explore to find enemies, facilities, and equipment.
