Creature-Collecting Roguelike Deckbuilder Montabi Announced
Publisher Akupara Games and developer Mankibo have announced Montabi. The game is billed as a creature-collector roguelike deckbuilder currently in development for PC. A release window has not been announced, but it is available to wishlist now on Steam.
Players control a character who tames the creatures known as Montabi, choosing from a selection of characters with their own distinct play styles. They are joined by up to three Montabi in their party and can train these creatures, unlock new moves, and potentially evolve them into new forms. Combat sees players joining their Montabi on a three-by-three grid where they aim to make strategic use their card-based abilities.
