Freeride Bound for the Spirit World in May

During the latest Games with Wings showcase, publisher Future Friends Games and developer Flightyfelon Games announced the release date for their RPG Freeride. The title will launch for PC (via Steam) on May 1, 2025, with a Nintendo Switch version set to release later this year.

Freeride sees players travelling to the Spirit World aboard the Fate Train. During their journey that may shape the future of the Spirit World, they will be able to meet and help various spirits, each with their own goals, troubles, and motivations. With the protagonist’s newfound telekinetic powers, the player can solve puzzles, fight demons, play basketball, and more. The game features branching storylines determined by players’ choices through the story, which also affects the result of a personality test. Those interested in Freeride can try out the demo available on Steam.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
