Songs of Conquest Launching on Consoles Next Month

Developer Lavapotion announced the release date for Songs of Conquest on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The strategy RPG, inspired by series including Heroes of Might and Magic and Age of Wonders, will be available on these consoles on November 12, 2024, for €33.99/£29.50/$34.99. The announcement came with the release of a new trailer viewable below.

Songs of Conquest released for PC and Mac earlier this year. The main game includes four different campaigns for players to experience, focusing on different nations. Arleon is a nation where those who are strong thrive, with its peasants rebelling against the knights who have joined with a mythical race known as Faey. Barya is a state without law after separating themselves from the empire. It is divided into independent merchant states where contracts made with merchants replace the law. Rana is inhabited by a race of swamp dwellers who have a history of being enslaved, finding the strength to rise with the arrival of “The Wielder”. Finally, the declining Barony of Loth seeks to find strength once again with the discovery of Oathbound legions. The upcoming DLC Vanir introduces the titular faction, which is inspired by Viking and Scandinavian folklore.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
