Within the Cosmos Releasing in October

Developer debdev announced first-person, sci-fi RPG Within the Cosmos. The title is set to release on October 4, 2024, for PC via Steam.

Within the Cosmos takes place in a distant future, where humanity is on the brink of extinction. In an attempt to preserve what is left of the humankind, 500 members of the United Earth Space Agency (UESA) have been selected to be part of an interstellar expedition to the distant Adallio star system. Players take on the role of one of these chosen few, who awake from their cryogenic sleep to find a fractured human society dealing with an android threat. It will up to the player to unite this divided society or deepen its dissensions while uncovering the truth behind the android treat.

Within the Cosmos feature a real-time combat system, with players able to customise their weapons and improve eleven different skills including intimidation and hacking. For example, players can use hacking to manipulate the environment, gather intel, and disable security. The exploration takes players to different celestial bodies across the Adallio star system, each filled with unique environments, missions, and secrets.
