Legends of Astravia Demo Releasing Next Week

Independent developer Studio Alemni announced that it will release a demo version of its upcoming retro RPG Legends of Astravia. The demo will be available on May 30, 2024, on Steam ahead of the Steam Next Fest, during which the developer plans to stream a playthrough of the demo along with a Q&A section.

Legends of Astravia takes place in a fantasy setting and follows a young man named Oliver in his quest to reconstruct his past and prevent a great disaster called the Cataclysm from afflicting his world. The game features 16-bit graphics and draws inspiration from many JRPGs such as Golden Sun and Grandia. It has a battle system that combines turn-based and real time gameplay, while its skill system allows players to exchange abilities between characters without needing skill tree or stat points assignment. Legends of Astravia will release in two parts, with the first one set to launch in Q1 2025 on PC via Steam.
