Covert Crew Announced

Developer and publisher TYB Games announced its tactical RPG Covert Crew. The title draws inspiration from classic JRPGs like Fire Emblem and Shining Force as well as superhero-related media like Marvel Universe and The Boys. The game takes place in a futuristic setting where exist individuals gifted with superpowers. Its story follows a hero called Solitude as he gathers allies to fight against a mysterious syndicate.

The title feature 2D graphics and turn-based battles occurring on grid-based maps. There are over twenty characters to recruit, each with their own abilities. A character can be further customized thanks to the use of modulators. Units can bond with each other during battle, which in turn improves their battle prowess as they fight side-by-side. Covert Crew is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with a release date planned in 2024. A Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign is also planned.
