Dark Sky Releasing This Year

Developer Ganymede Games and publisher Midwest Games have announced that turn-based sci-fi RPG Dark Sky will be released for PC via Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store in Q3 2024. The game, formerly titled Xenotheria, will have a demo available during the Steam Deckbuilders Fest from March 25, 2024, to April 1, 2024.

Dark Sky is set on Wolf Prime, a mining planet ravaged after unknown forces removed all spacecraft from the sky. The game follows the adventures of Squig and Norton, a pair of average shipyard workers, as they navigate their way around the desolate landscape with the help of some unlikely heroes to reveal the cause of the catastrophe before the planet is destroyed. Battles take place using cards, allowing players to customize decks tailored to each of the six party members, combine cards to cause status effects, and unlock abilities by crafting and upgrading new cards. Players will learn more about the planet while exploring the hand-painted environments and encountering numerous factions along the way, such as the Outworld Collective Fleet, the Mining Guild, and the Runshaka death cult.

I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2. I do have many other interests outside of gaming as well, such as watching old-school wrestling, Reading books, 80s movies.... or anything 80s related as a matter of fact.
